The Apple Vision Pro is undeniably the most advanced mixed reality headset we've seen. Vision Pro, which will be sold at a price of more than RM16,000, will be limited in the United States and those who want to buy it will have to make an appointment with Apple.
Apple is seen planning a variety of immersive content such as video or movies for Vision Pro, including 3D content using OpenUSD technology. Various applications like iOS and iPadOS will also be offered for use in the virtual world.
Mark Gurman's recent report stated that not many developers attend the developer labs that Apple hosts in Cupertino. This lab is said to be for developers to test their applications on Vision Pro with the help of Apple experts.
Among the reasons why not many developers want to present themselves is the developer version of VisionOS which was just introduced last June and many may still be developing their own applications. Second is the remote location of the developer and Apple will not cover the cost.
The third possibility is that the Vision Pro will be limited for sale in the United States first. This means that developers don't want to take this headset's small amount of usage too seriously. We previously reported that Apple only ordered 400,000 units of the Vision Pro due to manufacturing issues.
