ASUS Introduces Three Giant Gaming Screen Displays With High Refresh Rate With OLED Panels

This week is the Gamescom gaming event in Germany, where various game development companies introduce new titles, and also where technology companies introduce their own gaming offerings.

ASUS is one of those companies, and at this Gamescom event, they have shown three new gaming displays that not only come in large sizes, but also use OLED panels and offer high refresh rates.

The three displays include ASUS ROG Swift PG32UCDM, ASUS ROG Swift PG34WCDM and ASUS ROG Swift PG49WCD which come in sizes of 31.5 inches, 34 inches and 49 inches.

Starting with the ASUS ROG Swift PG32 UCDM, this display is the first model to use a QD-OLED panel at 31.5 inches, and it comes with 4K resolution and a very fast refresh rate of 240Hz. It also has a brightness value as high as 1000 nits, and supports DisplayHDR True Black 400 display technology for a gaming experience as well as watching videos, movies and television series that are very immersive.

The display is seen to support AMD FreeSync Premium graphics processing technology with a Variable Refresh Rate offering, but does not appear to have support for NVIDIA G-SYNC Ultimate. It also supports display connections via HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1 and USB Type-C (DP Alt mode) plugs.

An interesting feature offered on this display is the use of graphene material to quickly dissipate heat from this OLED panel, something that ASUS introduced through a number of their giant OLED displays before to ensure that such products have a longer lifespan.

ASUS ROG Swift PG34WCDM is a 34-inch curved screen display that uses a WOLED panel with a QHD resolution of 3440×1440 with a refresh rate of 240Hz with a brightness value of 1300 nits and supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro display technology.

The uniqueness of using this WOLED panel developed by LG is the high resolution support and also the fast refresh rate. It also has a heat conduction system that helps in ensuring that this display remains operating at an optimal temperature.

ASUS ROG Swift PG49WCD is the widest gaming screen display introduced by ASUS during the Gamescom event, using the same QD-OLED panel as the first model, with a resolution of 5120×1440 and a refresh rate of 144Hz.

Just like the second panel, it is also a curved panel, but its longer aspect ratio makes this screen look like you have two screens in one. In terms of plug support, this ROG Swift PG49WCD screen supports HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 plugs as well as USB Type-C plugs with 90W PowerDelivery capabilities to power a laptop.

ASUS says that it will start selling the ASUS ROG Swift PG32UCDM and ASUS ROG Swift PG34WCDM A-screen displays early next year, while the ASUS ROG Swift PG49WCD display will go on sale around the end of this year.
