In line with the drastic paradigm and time shift, CelcomDigi today shared a number of things related to the company's development, which also involves interesting data for the first half of 2023. This includes CelcomDigi users who are said to have increased by almost 400K in the first half of 2023.
In particular, the company has received more than 391,000 new customers in the first half of 2023. This trend is said to continue to show encouraging growth for users, especially for those who expect the delivery of connectivity including a better digital experience on 4G LTE and 5G networks.
It was also stated that out of that number, a total of 185,000 new customers registered with CelcomDigi in the second quarter of this year, collectively making the company have more than 20.48 million active users for now. However, it should be noted that the figure does not include Yoodo registered users.
In the meantime, CelcomDigi also shared about the development of full-speed network integration that has started since the last second quarter. Where 60% of the planning has been completed so far with more than 2,000 sites in 24 clusters consolidated. It is expected to be able to deliver the widest 4G network with increased population coverage reaching 98% throughout Malaysia when completed.
It was also shared that CelcomDigi has also introduced various attractive 5G offers across users, whether postpaid or prepaid. At the same time they have also improved the CelcomDigi Home Fiber plan by providing home internet speeds of up to 1Gbps with more savings when combined with selected postpaid plans.
Not only that, CelcomDigi has also launched the CelcomDigi MY5G series aimed at driving the development industry and the use of 5G among corporate members and the public sector in this country.
Not to be left out, CelcomDigi also shared plans to divest its stake in Yoodo, whose takeover process is still in discussions with many parties including overseas.
