Cinderella Shoes Made Of Real Crystals Produced By Swarovski

The fairy tale of Cinderella is well known but did you know that it originates from the story of Rhodopis from 23 BC in Greece? Although this story is thousands of years old, the first time the main character with this crystal shoe appeared under the name of Cinderella was in the 17th century. In conjunction with Disney's 100th anniversary, Swarovski has produced Cinderella's shoes made entirely of crystal.

Aurora Borealis crystals are used to create this one of a kind Cinderella shoe. The process of carving this shoe took over 150 hours according to Swarovski and it has 220 faces. There is also a butterfly carving made of gold placed on the front of the shoe. The design is taken from the shoes worn by Lily James in the 2015 Disney adaptation of Cinderella.

These shoes will then be auctioned in collaboration with Disney with the money then donated to the NGO Make A Wish to help children in need.
