With the month of September approaching, various highway providers have started implementing pilot tests involving alternative payments to Touch n Go, that is using a debit card or credit card.
Most recently, the Duta-Ulu Kelang Expressway provider (DUKE) announced the availability of toll payment support using debit or credit cards on their operated expressways.
With this move, users can make payments using a debit or credit card – as an alternative to Touch n Go if they lack balance, or don't have a TNG card.
Previously, several highways have activated more or less the same feature, including the LDP, Sprint, SMART, BESRAYA, NPE, Kesas and MEX highways. The government is targeting around 12 highways to activate the feature by this September.
