Samsung wants to use Exynos chips again in their flagship devices after being forced to use Snapdragon chips due to issues with the disappointing Exynos 2200. This new chip will be designed specifically for the needs of Galaxy devices as Apple and Huawei have done with their own designed chips.
The latest Eyxnos 2400 chip specifications have been leaked and it will come with a 10-core CPU and is still based on 4nm technology. Through information shared by Antutu, the Exynos 2400 will come with a 1+2+3+4 CPU configuration. This consists of 1 x 3.1GHz Cortex-X4 ,2 x 2.9GHz Cortex-A720, 3 x 2.6GHz Cortex-A720 and 4 x 1.8GHz Cortex-A520. It is then matched with the Xclipse 940 GPU which has 12 CU but is still based on the AMD RDNA 2 GPU.
In terms of modem, it is equipped with Exynos 5300 modem which supports download speed of 10Gbps and upload speed of 3.87Gbps. More interesting is that this modern can do two-way communication with satellites. A feature that has been rumored for a long time but is not present on Samsung devices this year.
This chip also supports UFS 4.0 fast storage as well as LPDDR5X memory which is expected to provide video recording capabilities up to 8K 60FPS. Exynos 2400 is a competitor to Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and MediaTek Dimensity 9300 which will be launched this year.
