The Minister of Communications and Digital, Fahmi Fadzil has now stated that all telecommunication companies and broadband internet service providers have been instructed to reduce internet prices from September 2023. This partnership is in line with the previous announcement stating that internet prices will decrease by September.
This price reduction is due to the realignment of internet wholesale prices which have been reduced cheaper around March 2023.
With the order issued, all telecommunications companies will be subject to reduce the price of their offers to customers. Today, TM offers a subscription price of RM89 per month for 30Mbps, and RM129 for 100Mbps. TIME also offers a 100Mbps plan at a price of RM99 per month, followed by a 500Mbps plan at a price of RM139 per month.
Let's all look forward to this price change in about a month or so.
