All things can be searched using Google Search and unfortunately it can harm users if information such as home address, and someone's work is displayed. Google today announced several new features that will ensure privacy is preserved if it appears in Search searches.
The first feature is that Results about you have been further improved with a notification that will be displayed when new personal information about yourself appears in Search. The owner of the information can then request that this information be deleted from the search results. To access it users just need to go to goo.gle/resultsaboutyou. It is currently only supported in the United States in English. Global support and more languages will be provided in stages.
Users can then request that personal pornographic images be deleted from Google Images search results. Previously Google only deleted pictures uploaded without permission. Now the owner of the picture can request that the picture that was previously uploaded voluntarily is also deleted.
Last but not least is the image blurring feature in Search that may not be suitable for viewing in public. It may be an image in the form of violence or pornography that is embarrassing if displayed on the device's screen. Previously SafeSearch with blurred images was given to a small number of users only but starting today it is being expanded to the whole world.
