Grab Shares Some Features To Simplify Tasks And Increase Delivery Partner's Income

This time, Grab comes up with new productive innovations through features and functions in its application that aim to provide satisfaction of use to their delivery partners. This step is intended to optimize the time spent in the Grab application and at the same time increase the income that can be achieved by delivery partners and drivers.

First, the focus to create a smooth driving experience for all delivery partners is to focus on the navigation aspect where improvements in the GrabMaps mapping system are made. One feature offered is a Heatmap that shows areas of high demand in real time. The waiting time before getting a reservation will be displayed to the driver on the map.

Fellow drivers and dispatchers who are not on duty will also receive notifications about high demand areas if the system detects them frequenting those locations. With this they can choose to work and not miss out on earning. This feature is being tested in Thailand and Singapore.

A feature that is definitely interesting for delivery partners is Zones where they can set the area they want to operate for 3-5 hours. With this, orders from customers in certain areas will only be accepted. Currently the Zones feature is only offered in Singapore before being expanded to the Philippines in Q4 2023.

The issue of passenger mistakes in setting the waiting location is also not new and often happens among users, even this matter is often a complaint among delivery partners. Grab did not take this issue lightly and came to hear a productive solution which is the Share Live Location feature. Users can share their exact location with a delivery partner if they are unsure of their exact location.

This improvement is felt to be able to reduce the waste of time that dispatchers have to face to find passengers and produce more effective work. In this regard, the optimization feature of picking up passengers at the airport will be introduced towards the end of 2023. Fellow drivers can see their queue status and waiting time in real time at the airport.

With all these features, Grab has already seen a 3.55% reduction in waiting time and an average 10% increase in revenue per delivery partner/driver in 2022 compared to the previous year
