Huawei has announced HarmonyOS 4 which is a new standalone operating system that can be used on a wide variety of different devices. Compared to before, HarmonyOS 4.0 is said to be able to operate 20% better and extend the device's battery life by up to 30%. It has also been diversified with new features to make it neater and better than before.
Through this new update, users are given more freedom to customize and change the main screen according to comfort. This includes changing the system font used in the menu, as well as widgets that also follow each other's choices. In addition, users can also use personal photos and customize the background with various patterns available to make a beautiful background image (wallpaper).
HarmonyOS 4.0 also offers up to 1,800 animated emojis specifically for users of this operating system. These animated emojis can not only be used in messaging apps, but can also be set as background images and AOD functions on the home screen. Next, a feature called Panorama Weather was added to allow users to track the daily weather forecast in real time more accurately.
Then Live View and Moon Window are also features that can be considered interesting on this HarmonyOS 4.0. Live View is dedicated to smartphones and tablets, while Mood Window is used on wearable devices. It works like a feature on Apple devices that allows users to check notifications or information without having to open the app.
HarmonyOS 4.0 has also been upgraded with the Super Transit Station feature which is a new hub for users to store various types of files. The process of transferring files between devices is also said to be easier than the previous version. The multi-screen sharing feature is also now further expanded to use on inforia systems with the HarmonyOS ecosystem.
Other features that are also included include search support that is now smarter, and Xiaoyi's voice assistant is also said to be able to have a more relaxed dialogue, write notes and manage documents on the device. Security updates are also given attention with a brand new application control center that is said to be able to control risky applications, hide real user data and so on.
