Warner Discovery which is the parent company of the Max platform (formerly HBO Max) started pulling some of their original content from the platform. In a statement given a few years ago, Warner Discovery said they were open to offering their original content on other streaming platforms. Today we realized that the Ballers series starring The Rock is being offered on Netflix Malaysia.
At the time of writing only Ballers can be streamed with the HBO Original logo prominently displayed on the screen thumbnail. Ballers can still be streamed via HBO GO in Malaysia.
As customers we often feel that the video quality on HBO GO is very unsatisfactory. If their entire catalog could be offered on other platforms it might be a better choice for fans of Game of Thrones, The Last of Us, Chernobyl and Band of Brothers who want to watch these popular series in 4K HDR quality.
