Yesterday we reported that Intel is expected to introduce their Meteor Lake series of processing chips at the Intel Innovate event in September. Recently, details about another series of Intel processing chips to be introduced, the Raptor Lake Refresh have been leaked to the web arena.
The most noticeable difference is that the Raptor Lake Refresh will still use their old model name, which is Intel Core i. The two leaked processing chips are the Intel Core i9-14900K and the Intel Core i7-14700K. Details of these two processing chips are shown through screenshots of Bapco's benchmarks.
For the Intel Core i9-14900K, this CPU is seen to have 24 physical cores (8 performance cores and 16 efficiency cores) and 32 power threads, while the Intel Core i7-14700K comes with 20 physical cores (8 performance cores, 12 efficiency cores) and 28 thread of power. More interestingly, it is also reported that this Intel Core i9 chip will come with an overclocking speed of 6.2GHz while the Intel Core i7 chip will have an overclocking speed of 5.6GHz.
Most of the previous reports also said that this series of Raptor Lake Refresh chips will still use motherboards with LGA1700 sockets, so if you are thinking of upgrading your processor chip from Alder Lake or Raptor Lake to Raptor Lake Refresh, it is just as easy as buying a new processor chip .
Intel's 14th generation Raptor Lake Refresh CPU is expected to be officially unveiled this October, but it is also possible that Intel will touch on it a bit during the Intel Innovation 2023 event this September.
