JPJ Still Continuing Physical Version LKM Stickers – No More Dates For Full Digital Transition

Over the past few days, pictures have gone viral stating that there will no longer be a printed version of the road tax or Motor Vehicle License (LKM) to be offered, instead users are being asked to switch to a fully digital version.

Touching on it, Transport Minister Anthony Loke stated that there was a communication error related to this matter. It is said that there are some JPJ branches that have run out of physical stickers, and put up notices about it. The relevant branches have been identified, and new sticker stock has been ordered for those branches.

The Minister of Transport also emphasized that there is no set date yet for the transition to full digital for now. Vehicle owners still have the option of using the physical or digital version for now. However, it is reminded that one day a full transition to digital will take place.

Currently, it is estimated that there are 30% of vehicle owners who have chosen to use the fully digital version of LKM.

Previously, the introduction of the digital version of LKM has been implemented since February 2023, making it easier for users to download the application and save the data on their devices.
