Various highways have now started pilot tests for the use of open payment systems, and the most recent to add it is the Sungai Besi Highway (BESRAYA) and the Baru Pantai Highway (NPE).
With this move, users can now make payments at the toll using a credit card or debit card – apart from using Touch n Go cards as usual.
Previously, several highways have activated more or less the same feature, including the LDP, Sprint, SMART, Kesas and MEX highways. The government is targeting around 12 highways to activate the feature by this September.
