Meta and UFC announced they will offer a special space in the Horizon Worlds metaspace and the Xstadium app. Through the collaboration of the two companies, UFC matches can be watched in a 180-degree viewing angle at 4K resolution. UFC Fight Pass subscribers can access this feature where they can select virtual seats around the octagon ring that gives the experience of actually being at the match site.
In addition, through the special UFC world at Horizon Worlds, fans can enjoy UFC-themed games alone or with other players. They can also access exclusive UFC content within this metacity world. Meta says this virtual UFC match experience is the future of sports where viewers can feel like they are on location but still feel at home.
The 180-degree 4K content feature is accessible via the Xstadium app in the Meta Quest headset now with the next match taking place on August 4. Meanwhile, the world of the UFC metacity can be accessed in Horizon Worlds from November 2023.
