Meta has several variations of apps optimized for low-spec smartphones. One of them is Messenger Lite. The application is now seen to no longer be able to be installed through the Google Play Store - and the Meta side has started giving notifications stating that the application will cease to operate after September 18, 2023.
Alternatively, Meta now asks users to install the full version of the Messenger app.
With the development of the arena of mobile devices and telecommunications networks, now various "Lite" applications are starting to be terminated by developers, and asking users to install full version applications. Indirectly, this also makes it easier to introduce new features to it. Messenger itself has previously stated that it will introduce full encryption features to its messaging service this year.
For those of you who use Messenger Lite, you can install the full version of the application to continue using Messenger.
