Minister Once Again Emphasizes Internet Prices Are Expected to Be Cheaper By September

The Minister of Communications and Digital, Fahmi Fadzil has now once again emphasized which internet prices are expected to be cheaper by September 2023.

This is due to the bulk sale price update last March 2023, and now in the process of signing access agreements with various companies and local telecommunications providers. This process is expected to be completed in September 2023, at the same time leading to lower internet prices for public users.

This price reduction is expected to further reduce the burden on the public in subscribing to an internet plan for daily use - not to mention the government's focus on the digital economy arena.

In addition to lowering internet prices, the government has also previously introduced the Rahmah internet plan, and most recently the telecommunications company Allo which offers a 100Mbps package at a subscription price of RM69 per month, specifically for the B40 group.
