The Minister of Communications and Digital, Fahmi Fadzil has now stated that he will schedule a meeting with local telecommunications companies regarding the additional charges imposed to access 5G services and networks.
According to him, for now, YTL does not charge, but others charge between RM3 to RM20 in addition to the existing telecommunications plan to access the 5G network.
This at once led to questions from various parties, including the minister's own wife who questioned why it was necessary to pay to access the 5G network, on the other hand when the transition from 3G to 4G was not like that.
Previously, it targeted 5G network plans that cost less than existing 4G plans – at the same time
