Mozilla has now shared that they will announce plug-in support for Firefox on Android, in early September. With this offering, it will make Firefox one of the first major web browsers to offer plug-in support on mobile web browsers.
Today, the use of plug-ins on the desktop version of the Firefox web browser is already widespread, and many are looking forward to its introduction on Firefox on Android. This will make it easier for users to easily add the necessary features to the Firefox web browser on Android.
Mozilla says it's already developing an ecosystem for plugins on Firefox on Android, and will share more about it in early September.
The upcoming announcement is also expected to allow all developers to be ready with the plug-in before the big official launch on Firefox for Android.
