Netflix Starts Offering Video Game Streaming On TV

A week after offering the Game Controller app on iOS, Netflix today began testing streaming video games directly to TVs to users in Canada and the UK. This small-scale test is offered to a small number of users first. In the coming weeks they will also provide this feature to PC and Mac through supported web browsers.

Currently the games that can be streamed are Oxenfree and Molehew's Mining Adventure only. As it is still in Beta phase, supported TVs are Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast with Google TV, LG, Nvidia Shield, Roku, Samsung, and Walmart ONN. More other devices will be supported later.

Since a long time Netflix has said that their competition is not other streaming platforms but rather Fortnite because watching video games alone can steal people's attention.
