Chinese device manufacturers like to use MediaTek chips because devices can be sold at more affordable prices. In addition, it also gives various options to users. Starting in 2024 and above, OnePlus and realme will reportedly no longer use MediaTek chips.
According to Digital Chat Station, these two brands under BBK Electronics will use Qualcomm Snapdragon chips exclusively for device models from 2024 and above. While the MediaTek Dimensity chip will be used by Oppo only.
