The green line issue on OLED screens has been reported to occur on devices manufactured by Samsung, Oppo, Apple, OnePlus and Huawei over the past five years. It usually occurs after the two-year warranty period expires causing the cost of replacing it to be borne by the owner. In India, OnePlus provides a lifetime warranty on their selling devices if this green line issue occurs on the screen.
Owners of devices affected by this issue will be given a new screen for free. In addition to OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 9 owners, if this issue occurs they will be given a voucher to buy a new OnePlus device at an attractive discount.
Unfortunately this lifetime warranty is only given to OnePlus customers in India as that country is one of their main markets. For those who have experienced the green line issue on the screen, the cost of replacing it is very expensive and can reach thousands of ringgit depending on the manufacturer.
