Qualcomm Launches Snapdragon G1, G2 And G3 Chip Series Specially For Mobile Gaming Devices

Snapdragon chips are known for their high gaming performance and are often used in flagship Android devices. This morning they launched three Snapdragon G series chips that were produced specifically for use in mobile gaming devices

Starting with the Snapdragon G1 family which is the version with the lowest specifications. It targets use on devices streaming from consoles or from the cloud. With the Snapdragon G1 games can be streamed smoothly without lag and at the same time have a good level of battery life. This chip comes with an 8-core Kryo CPU and is paired with an Adreno A11 GPU.

Next is the Snapdragon G2 family for mobile gaming devices that can also be used for game streaming purposes. It supports the latest 5G and WiFi 6E networks to get the fastest wireless internet network. The Snapdragon G2 Gen 1 chip launched today features an 8-core Kryo CPU and is paired with an Adreno A21 GPU and a Snapdragon X62 5G modem.

Last but not least is the Snapdragon G3 family which has the most powerful processing capabilities to start with graphics at the highest settings. The Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 chip retains the Kryo 8-core CPU usage but is paired with an Adreno A32 GPU.

According to Qualcomm the G3x Gen 2 has a 30% faster CPU and 2x faster GPU than the G3X Gen 1 launched last year on the Razer Edge. Snapdragon G3 also supports WiFi 7, 5G network (Sub 6GHz and mmWave), Snapdragon Sound audio system, ray tracing and XR glasses.
