Setapp is a service that offers software and application subscriptions for macOS users. In addition to offerings for desktop users, Setapp now plans to introduce an alternative app store for iOS and iPadOS in 2024.
Setapp plans to introduce their app store for iOS users in Europe – in parallel with the introduction of specific legislation in that country that opens up space for alternative app stores to be offered on a platform other than the built-in app store. This will require Apple to open up space for the application store services offered by other providers.
For now, Setapp has opened registration of interest for users in Europe who are interested and use it when it becomes available. For other global users, we still have to use the App Store as the app store on iPhone and iPad for now.
📣 Exciting news for iPhone users in Europe! @Setapp, the ultimate app subscription service for macOS and iOS, is planning to launch as an alternative app store!
