Solar Bay Benchmark Software Tests Ray-tracing Capabilities On Android Devices

UL Benchmarks, the company behind the benchmark software PCMark and 3DMark today has introduced a new benchmark software that tests the graphics capabilities of computers and Android devices at the same time.

Named Solar Bay, these benchmarks test the ability to process Ray-tracing graphics that use real-time light and shadow processing to provide more immersive and realistic graphics.

The uniqueness of this Solar Bay software is that it can be used to not only determine the ability of Ray-tracing processing on gaming computers that use the Windows operating system, but it can also be used on Android devices as well.

These benchmarks come in two formats, one is a test that shows the device's ability to process graphics using Ray-tracing technology for a short period of time, and the other is a Stress Test mode that tests the graphics processing performance for a long period of time.

The Solar Bay benchmark is now available for download via the online game stores Steam and Epic Games Store and also via the Google Play Store starting today.
