Sony has come up with two new full-frame cameras with the introduction of the Alpha A7C II and the Alpha A7CR. Both are said to be present with interesting latest features as well as offering a more compact and lighter design than the previous generation.
Starting with the Sony Alpha 7C II, this camera is equipped with a full-frame 33MP Exmor R CMOS sensor that allows recording images at up to 10 frames per second and videos at up to 4K/60FPS. The sensor used is also matched with the Bionz XR image processing chip for a better imaging experience. A five-axis stabilization system is included in the body to ensure that photos and videos taken look sharp.
Through this sensor, the camera can also record 4K/60p video in Super35 format, FHD up to 120p, offers 10-bit 4:2:2 color sampling, and supports HLG, S-Log3, S-Cinetone and LUTs. At the same time the standard features of the Sony Alpha camera, namely human, animal, face and eye focusing modes can also be selected.
Also included is a PDAF focusing system of 759 points included, in addition to ISO range support between 100 to 51200 for both still image and video recording, aiming to facilitate noise-free shooting even in low-light conditions.
The camera also has dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, a USB-C port and an included NP-FZ100 rechargeable battery. At the same time, Alpha 7C II is also equipped with a dedicated button for video recording on the top. Alongside the 1,036,800 dot EVF is matched with a 3″ LCD touch screen that can be rotated freely for selfie/selfvideo recording.
Talking about the Sony Alpha A7CR, the camera is equipped with a 61MP sensor from the Exmor R CMOS family which is matched with a Bionz XR processor chip. In addition, there is also a 7-axis optical image stabilization system to ensure that the captured image is always clear, further assisted by a focusing system that uses artificial intelligence.
Also included is a built-in 693-point PDAF focusing system, in addition to supporting an ISO range of 100 to 32000 for both stills and movies (and extendable to 102400 for stills). Video recording capabilities are up to 4K/60p with 6.2K oversampling in Super35 and FHD format at 120p. The camera also has a 3″ LCD screen with a 1,036,800 dot EVF that can be rotated freely
