Tecno seems serious about being the Poco for foldable screen devices. The Phantom V is a competitor to the Galaxy Z Fold, Magic Vs and many other devices in the same category, but sold at a more affordable price. Most recently, the Tecno Phantom V Flip was leaked as a competitor to the Z Flip5 and also the Oppo Find N2 Flip.
The leaked design shows Tecno taking two Huawei device designs and combining them into one. The back panel for the external screen is seen using a round shape like the Huwawei P50 Pocket but larger with a camera like the Mate30.
The outer screen design is similar to a smart watch screen. Perhaps taking inspiration from the Z Flip5, the outer screen can be decorated with a watch face like the Watch6. The screen size is 1.32-inches matched with a 6.9-inch foldable screen inside. The MediaTek Dimensity 8050 chip is believed to be used with 8GB of RAM memory, 256GB of internal storage and a 4000mAh battery.
The camera coil on the outside combines a 64MP +13MP sensor with a 13MP in-screen selfie camera. The device will come in three color options: black, white or purple. The selling price is still uncertain, but based on the specifications it may not be a problem for this device to be sold at a price below RM3000.
It seems that Tecno will realize the dream of TCL Project Chicago that was canceled two years ago. If it is true that it is sold at an affordable price, will you buy it? Let's wait together.
