Threads The Web Version Is Getting Closer To Launch And Support For Foldable Screen Devices Is In Development

It's been over a month since Threads launched but it still doesn't have a web version that should be standard on all social media apps. It has been promised for weeks but no confirmation from Meta until this weekend. Adam Mosseri who is the head of Threads confirmed that the web version is getting closer to launch.

This is based on a reply to a Threads user who asked about the web version two days ago. In addition to the web version getting closer to launch, Mosseri also said that support for foldable screen devices is also being developed. He shared an image of the Pixel Fold in his Threads post about the lack of support for foldable screen devices until now.

Don't know how long it will take. Instagram has only supported foldable screen devices since last week but only on the Galaxy Z Fold series at this time. Due to the lack of features, the initial momentum of Threads as the best alternative to Twitter is now fading. If Meta is serious about competing, support like Tweetdeck needs to be provided since X itself no longer supports it except for X Premium users only.
