There are two more Oppo devices under the A series that have passed SIRIM verification since yesterday, at the same time indicating that the launch is getting closer. Both have been registered by Jie Business Sdn Bhd with the code names CPH2579 (Oppo A38) and CPH2591 (Oppo A18).
The device is also yet to be officially announced in any market, which naturally raises various questions about the internal specifications. However, it is believed to be marketed as a basic class device which may also only support 4G access.
Logically, the Oppo A18 could be an updated model for the previous Oppo A17, which was also sold in Malaysia at RM599. Meanwhile, the Oppo A38 is a new generation model for the Oppo A36.
