Through the latest Canalys data sharing for the last second quarter of 2023, it shows that Xiaomi is now leading the Malaysian market with a market share of 18%.
Close behind is Samsung with a 17% stake. However, if compared in terms of annual development, Xiaomi showed a decrease of 45%, compared to Samsung which showed a decrease of 25%.
Occupying the third place is Oppo, followed by Vivo, and then Realme in the 5th place.
The smartphone market this year can be said to be growing quite slowly compared to previous years, not to mention the economic impact – making consumers less likely to switch to new devices, and stick with existing devices.
