A17 Pro's Geekbench Score Shows 44% Higher Performance Than Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

 


The Apple iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max use the new A17 Pro chip that can run PC-level games on a smartphone. A day after launch, benchmark scores for the iPhone 15 Pro have appeared on Geekbench 6 showing a performance increase of almost 50%. It also confirms the processor speed reaches 3.78GHz on the A17 Pro.



The A17 Pro scored 2908 in the single-core test and 7238 in the multi-core test. When compared to the S23 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2's score of 2015 single core and 5294 multi core, the A17 Pro scored 44.3% higher in single core and 36.7% in multi core.


When compared to A16 Bionic (2641/6989) the increase is 10.1% in single core and 3.6% in multi core. The capabilities of A16 Bionic are still quite high compared to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. So this is why it is offered again on the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus this year.
