The Ampang – Kuala Lumpur Multi-Level Highway (AKLEH) has now also announced that they have started a pilot test to support toll payments using credit or debit cards.
This offer is an alternative to Touch n Go, and avoids the congestion that occurs at toll plazas if a user's TNG card balance is insufficient. Now with this support, users can also use a debit or credit card to pay at toll roads – in case they forget to add value to their TNG card.
Apart from AKLEH, a number of other highways have also started similar pilot tests. Around 12 highways are expected to test it starting in September 2023.
