Apple Pay has been offered in Malaysia since 2022, and has supported several bank cards at the time of introduction, including Maybank, Ambank, Std Chartered and even HSBC. Now, continuing to add support for Apple Pay, the prepaid cards offered by Wise have also started to be supported on Apple Pay.
Local users can now add Wise prepaid cards to Apple Pay, and use them to shop. This at the same time may make it easier for users to control spending, and not be tied to a main bank account.
For those of you who use Wise, you can apply for a prepaid card (if you haven't already), and then also link it to the Apple Pay application for use in various transactions.
