Apple Signs Agreement to Use ARM Technology Beyond 2040

Apple today signed an agreement to use ARM chip technology beyond 2040. This allows Apple to continue to use the intellectual property developed by ARM that is now used in all of their designed chips.

The deal was announced in a document filed by ARM before launching their IPO yesterday. Currently, ARM technology is used by Apple on MacBook, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch products and later on their Vision Pro headsets. Apart from Apple, other major manufacturing companies also use ARM architecture on the chips that make up the billions of smart devices on the market today.
