Astro Productions Sdn Bhd (APSB) announced the purchase of the assets of Basecamp Films Sdn Bhd last week and established a new unit Astro Sound+Vision. Astro Sound+Vision will offer post-production services for Astro and also industry players.
Among the services offered by Astro Sound+Vision are color grading for films, Dolby Vision HDR post-production, processing labs, 4K.HDR content production for streaming, foley and Dolby Atmos and THX audio mixing. They will be the only THX audio mixing facility for cinemas certified in Malaysia.
Euan Smith, Astro group CEO was quoted as saying that through the Sound+Vision unit stro is in an excellent position to deliver international standard video content quality and finish for Astro and external parties. In addition to movies, Astro Sound+Vision also offers services for TV series, advertising, video games.
