ASUS Officially Takes Over the NUC Brand From Intel

A few weeks ago, we reported that Intel had stopped development and production of their Next Unit of Computing (NUC) minicomputers.

Recently, ASUS confirmed that they will use Intel PC designs for their NUC products, where they have signed a non-exclusive agreement that allows ASUS to use NUC designs and branding in their NUC products.

ASUS looks to be using the existing NUC frame design and using Intel's 13th generation Raptor Lake components to power these computers. For now it is not known whether they will use the 12th generation processing chips and below, especially for existing customers who use previous generation NUC computers.

As said, ASUS does not have exclusive rights to the use of NUC design and branding, but in short, they are seen directly taking over Intel's NUC business with their own expertise in the computer industry.

So far it is not known if ASUS will introduce their own NUC design when Intel shows their latest processing chips later, or keep the existing design only.
