BlackMagic Design has launched a special camera application for the iPhone called Blackmagic Camera. This camera app was developed to be used in conjunction with their popular video editing software DaVinci Resolve.
This camera app is said to allow users to record YouTube, TikTok and other videos at Hollywood movie quality as it includes the same controls and image processing technology as their Blackmagic professional cameras.
Not only that, this application can also change the recording mode to different frame rates. It also includes support for audio level monitoring, lens control, white balance, aspect ratio, focus control and more.
Looking at this app for iPhone, 4K ProRes recording is also possible. After recording, it can be directly uploaded to Blackmagic Cloud and quickly accessed on DaVinci Resolve to start editing. Interestingly, this application is free to use.
