X under Elon Musk has started paying and sharing income with content publishers since July 2023. Through it, it allows those who have at least 500 followers and the number of tweet views to reach 5 million views every three months, to apply for income from the display of advertisements under the content they share.
Most recently, today CEO X shared that they have shared revenue exceeding $20 million (~RM93.88 million) so far to the content publishing community.
Previously, in June 2023, Elon Musk announced the first payment on X to content publishers amounting to $5 million. With the sharing of these latest figures, it shows that more content and content publishers are starting to generate income on X.
This may also be the main reason why more people will actively share content on Twitter than on other platforms.
