Construction of Jeddah Tower 1 Kilometer High Restarted

Jeddah Tower is a tower that began construction in 2010 with the goal of being the world's first structure with a height of 1000 meters. Its construction has been delayed since 2018 due to political conflicts among the Saudi royal family. After five years the height stopped at a height of 252 meters, the construction of Jeddah Tower is now reported to have restarted.

Some of the world's major construction companies such as Samsung have been invited to bid for the contract to restart the project. When it was announced more than a decade ago, its construction cost was estimated at around $1.2 billion. But with the current getting higher and maybe the need for a new redesign the cost is definitely higher.

Saudi Arabia is now the country with the largest number of mega projects in the world. Under the leadership of MBS, the project to build the world's longest building, the fastest roller coaster, the world's largest cube and a modern resort is taking place simultaneously. This is to change the image of this oil producing country into a modern tourist destination.
