Elon Musk has now shared that social service X (formerly known as Twitter) will soon add support for video and audio calls. This is also in line with the sharing several times before, including testing internally.
These video and audio calls are said to work cross-platform – including on iOS, Android, Mac and PC.
Elon Musk seems to want to position this feature with a focus on privacy - where users do not need to share phone numbers and so on to communicate.
Today, there are a number of services that offer video and audio calling features, including WhatsApp and Instagram. Let's all look forward to the introduction of this feature in X, and how it will be received by users in communicating via audio and video using X.
