Google Chrome Can Now Screenshot YouTube Videos At Full Resolution

Whenever there's a product launch online, I have to use the Windows screenshot feature to take pictures of the product, the executive that's hosting or the specification details. Sometimes the results are blurry because the quality also depends on the screen resolution of the computer monitor used.

Recently, Google Chrome and other web browsers built on Chromium have introduced the Copy Video Frame feature. It is a feature that copies a single frame of a YouTube video based on the played resolution setting. The resulting image is brighter and has a larger file size than a normal screenshot.

In my tests on Microsoft Edge this feature worked well. Windows screenshot by pressing Ctrl + Prtscrn button it only saves 1080p resolution at around 2MB size with black bar above and below. While the Copy Video Frame feature saves at 4K resolution and a size of almost 8MB without any black bars.

This feature, however, is to copy only images to be pasted directly onto documents, notes, slides or others. To save as a picture you need Paint, Photoshop or any other application that supports the paste and save feature.
