Google Play Store Now Has a Device Storage Saving Feature

Google Play Store has been updated to support device storage saving features. The App install optimization feature can compress applications installed on the user's device to save up to 60% storage.

This feature uses the Android App Bundle, where developers only load the files needed for an application to work. All applications will still be accessible on the device's home screen, but there will be a small cloud icon indicating that most of the application files have been compressed in the cloud.

Users can then manage these archived applications on the Play Store. This feature appears to be turned off by default on Android devices and will only be activated automatically when the user's device storage is running low.
