Located in Berlin, Honor took the main stage of IFA 2023 by showing off a foldable screen concept device like a handbag, named as Magic V Purse. Here Honor collaborates with TIME to introduce the concept of the future of smartphone creation as a result of the combination of technology and fashion.
Looking in general, it features a design similar to the previous Huawei Mate XS 2 foldable screen device. It uses a screen that can be folded out with a thick side that can be folded into a handle when the device is in an open position.
This is paired with an interchangeable strap including a chain, which can then be attached to the hinge of the smartphone to be used as a shoulder bag. The device is also said to have a diameter of approximately 9mm which is said to be thinner than equivalent competitors.
Also included is Always On Display support on the main screen which can also be modified. Looking at the shared short video, this AOD concept can display some useful details such as clock, notification notification, camera and so on. Deeper details about the internal hardware have not been shared for now considering that it is only a concept device.
