iPhone 12 Banned In France Due To Radiation Issues

The sale of the iPhone 12 has been banned in France because the device is said to exceed the permissible limit of electromagnetic radiation. The Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) on the iPhone 12 according to France is at a level of 5.74 W/kg which is higher than the limit of 2 W/kg for the head and 4 W/kg for the human body.

The device must be withdrawn from the French market within two weeks if SAR levels cannot be reduced through a software update. Apple has already issued a statement saying that the iPhone 12 passed the standards set through their own laboratory studies and also third parties.

The iPhone 12 was launched in 2020. Although no longer sold by Apple through their official website in France, it can still be purchased through third parties on the open market.
