The Ipoh City Council has now signed a strategic agreement with XOX, aiming to build more electric vehicle charging stations in the near future.
Through this collaboration, both parties will identify suitable locations around Ipoh, before providing the service. XOX is expected to establish around 50 to 200 charging stations in Ipoh in stages.
With this move, it is also expected to attract more electric car users to the city, while boosting the local economy.
Previously, Perak FC had also become a wholly-owned subsidiary of XOX Berhad, in addition to the Ipoh City Council had previously entered into a technology sharing collaboration with XOX.
