Jabra has recently launched a new TWS, the Elite 8 Active. They claim this is the most durable TWS in the world to date and again targets users who are active in extreme sports and exercise activities. Today Jabra Elite 8 Active has been officially launched in Malaysia.
The Jabra Elite 8 Active comes with a 6mm audio driver that supports SBC and AAC codecs. It also supports Spatial Sound by Dolby for an immersive audio experience. On the ear buds, Jabra uses EarGel with ShakeGrip technology that ensures the earphones will not fall out of the user's ear. It uses silicone rubber liquid construction material.
The body of each earphone is also built to be durable and supports IP68. While the charging pod is only IP54. As always, Jabra will continue to offer their HearThrough sound-through mode along with Adaptive Hybrid ANC for active noise cancellation that allows users to focus on their activities without any distractions.
There are six built-in microphones for ANC and clear phone call quality as well. An ambient light sensor is also provided for music auto pause support. The Elite 8 Active uses Bluetooth 5.3 LE that can be tethered to two devices as well as Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair support. The Spotify Tap feature can still be used.
The battery this time is said to last up to 56 hours with the charging pod without ANC and 8 hours with the earphone pad with ANC. Fast charging support is 5 minutes of charge for 1 hour of use and wireless charging is also provided. This TWS control can be done on the Jabra Sound+ app for Android and iOS.
Jabra Elite 8 Active is sold in Malaysia at a price of RM1049. There are three color options which are Navy Blue, caramel, or gray. Currently sales for the Elite 10 have not been announced yet, but are expected to arrive in the next few weeks.
