Meta today announced the introduction of its own AI-based virtual assistant support, named Meta AI. Through it, it provides the experience of interacting with artificial intelligence (AI) directly on popular applications such as WhatsApp, Messenger and even Instagram - at the same time getting various responses without having to leave the application.
Meta states that Meta AI is based on their newest language model, Llama 2. You can call out Meta AI at any time, including in group messaging by tweeting “@MetaAI”. You can then ask various questions, and the AI-based virtual assistant will provide relevant answers.
Meta also works with Bing to enable Meta AI to offer real-time information to users.
Interestingly, completing the introduction of Meta AI is a total of 28 different characters based on various celebrities - including the likes of MrBeast, Snoop Dogg, and others who provide information to users with the character and style of the celebrity through Meta AI.
In addition, since it is also trained based on data on Facebook and Instagram, users can also ask questions involving content on the platform. For example, you can ask about Khairul Aming's cooking recipe Reels video, and it will display through it.
For now, Meta AI is only introduced in limited beta form, including some limited support in the United States. It is not yet known when Meta will offer this support globally.
