Meta is already investing heavily in the mixed-reality arena, and recently it was reported that Meta is working with LG to develop its own headset.
This mixed-reality device is expected to be marketed as an alternative to the Apple Vision Pro that Apple recently announced. While Apple's offerings are positioned as premium, Meta and LG's collaborative products are expected to be more "pocket-friendly" to users.
Meta is expected to focus on software, while LG is expected to produce the product – including in terms of offering panels, batteries and so on.
For now, Meta and LG have not issued any comments regarding this matter. The collaboration product of these two parties is expected to be marketed around 2024 or 2025.
