Microsoft Begins Testing DALL-E Based Image Generation Features on Microsoft Paint

Microsoft has started adding some artificial intelligence-based features to the Paint application through previous Windows 11 updates. Now, continuing to improve the application, Microsoft is testing a new feature called Paint Cocreator on the Paint application.

This support is powered by DALL-E technology developed by OpenAI. With this integration, users can perform text-based input to generate a picture or image, and then proceed with additional editing directly in the Paint application.

Microsoft says the feature is being tested among Windows Insider users in a few countries only, and users will be given 50 credits to generate images upon startup. It is not yet known when this Paint Cocreator will be officially introduced to all users worldwide.
