Mobvoi, the maker of the TicWatch smartwatch, made a name for itself with affordable Wear OS watches. They have a variety of smart watches, audio products and even smart lights. Merka has been established in Malaysia for many years but recently in my review Mobvoi may have withdrawn from the Malaysian market.
Ever since the TicWatch Pro 5 was introduced, this watch has not attracted much attention due to the increasingly expensive price and strange watch strap due to the size that is not the same as other Wear OS watches. Even their official Shopee store, Mobvoi.OS, has also been changed to Smart Style Design.
Their Shopee Mall has been in holiday mode for a long time and the last promotion is December 2022. Other stores that used to distribute TicWatch watches are now only offering old model watches and Mobvoi products that are no longer officially sold. Even their media representative who gave us a unit to test is no longer managing this brand.
For now if you are still interested in TicWatch watches, their official website is the safest way to buy. It's just that when you want to claim the guarantee, it will be a bit of a hassle like the last few years before Mobvoi was officially present in Malaysia.
